Paradise Inc., which operates foreign-only casinos in South Korea, said in a filing on Wednesday that casino sales rose 26.3% month-on-month in July but fell 76.4% year-on-year.

The group's casino sales in July were just under 17.36 billion won ($14.6 million), up from 13.74 billion won achieved in June this year, but down sharply from 73.69 billion won achieved in July 2019.

Paradise Co.'s gaming operations are Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand in Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City in Incheon, near the main international airport serving the Korean capital of Seoul.

Paradise Co Properties' gaming operations were suspended on Mar. 24 as part of measures to control the spread of COVID-19 infections in Korea. The company reopened its casinos on April 13 on Jeju Island. It resumed operations at the remaining three gaming venues in mainland Korea on Apr. 20.

Paradise's table game sales in July this year rose 27.9 percent sequentially to about W15.4 billion, compared to W12.04 billion in June. However, table sales in July were down 78 percent year-on-year, compared to W7.05 billion in July 2019.

Machine game sales rose 15.6% month-on-month to nearly W1.96 billion last month from nearly W1.7 billion in June. Compared to the same month a year earlier, these July sales were down 46.2% from W3.64 billion in July 2019.

The most recent monthly data shows Paradise's cumulative casino revenue for the year to July 31 was just 221.3 billion won, down 47.5% from nearly 425.17 billion won booked in the same period in 2019. 안전 슬롯사이트

Accumulated table sales in the January-July period this year were 207.09 billion won, down 48.1% from 398.94 billion won achieved in the same period in 2019.
